Box ElderBox
elder is typically a white-colored wood, but develops streaks of greenish-grey,
bright pinks and vivid reds. The pieces being sold here contain only a
small amount of this coloring, but have more unstained wood which provides for
excellent contrast. Less than 1/3 of each blank will contain color.
Blanks with heavier streaks of color are sold as "flame box elder" on the column
at the left of this page.
Our Quality Standards
- Bowl blanks are pre-cut round. Measurements are in inches -
diameter x thickness
- Platter blanks are pre-cut round. Measurements are in inches -
diameter x thickness
- Spindle measurements are in inches - width x height x length
- Pieces are green (not dried)
- Fully sealed in paraffin wax to guard against defects
- Pieces contain no pith, checks or cracks
- Pieces will contain only a slight amount of reddish colored streaking,
and may contain holes from the box elder beetle which causes the streaks of
color to occur

All shipping rates are actual charges billed by the shipping company. For
the best rates, we recommend making multiple item purchases.
Handling
All orders will be shipped within

Delivery
Delivery times will vary. Most packages shipped within the continental US will
arrive within 2-9 business days. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii normally require
9-16 business days. Packages may be tracked at any time through our web
