Product Description

Recommended for experienced turners. Wood is typically burgundy or reddish-brown in color, with some tan colored sapwood. This species is moderately hard. Grain can be straight or interlocked. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a medium lustre, finishes easily, and is stable when dried.
Special Note:
These pieces may occasionally contain light mineral stain or trace amounts of black line spalting.
Drying Tips:
This wood has a high initial moisture content and will require extended drying times.

Blank was beautiful. Too wet to finish tho. Had to rough turn it. letting it dry.

We sell both green and dry blanks. Green blanks will always need to be dried before they are finished.
