Product Description

Recommended for experienced turners. Wood is typically a mixture of reddish-range and brown, with some light yellow colored sapwood. This species is moderately hard, dense, and straight grained. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a high lustre, finishes easily, and is stable when dried.

Special Note:

These pieces may occasionally contain light mineral stain or trace amounts of black line spalting.

Drying Tips:

This wood has a tendency to deform during drying. Leave roughed out forms slightly thicker to allow for shrinkage.
