I ordered this blank because I was commissioned to turn a purpleheart bowl. It was revealed during the turning process that the blank had way too many micro-fractures, more than likely during the drying process. Also, while the blank was 3 inches in thickness, once true centered, I ended up with about 2 1/2 thickness so I had to ebd up turning a platter, not a bow.
