Recommended for experienced turners. Wood is typically off white in color, with some brown colored heartwood. This species is hard, dense and straight grained. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a high lustre, finishes easily, and is stable when dried.

These pieces may occasionally contain light mineral stain or trace amounts of black line spalting.

Drying Tips:

This wood is very dense and will require slow drying and extended drying times.
