Recommended for experienced turners. Wood is typically dark brown in color with some tan colored sapwood. This species is hard. Grain can be straight or wavy. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a high lustre, may require some care in finishing,and is stable when dried.

This wood is very dense and will require slow drying and extended drying times.
