Recommended for experienced turners. Wood is typically dark brown in color with some tan colored sapwood. This species is hard, dense and straight grained. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a high lustre, may require some care in finishing,and is stable when dried.

This wood is very dense and will require slow drying and extended drying times.
