This species is moderately hard, dense, and grain can be straight or interlocked.
Cutting requires sharp tools, particularly in pieces with wavy or interlocked grain.
Sands to a medium lustre, finishes easily, and is stable when dried.
This wood frequently contains small gum/resin pockets.
