Kiln Dried Ebiara
Ebiara (Berlinia spp.) also known as Red Zebrawood is a striking exotic hardwood known for its bold striping and rich reddish coloration. The wood typically features a reddish-brown to deep red base accented by darker brown or nearly black stripes, creating dramatic contrast and eye-catching patterns reminiscent of classic zebrawood with a warmer tone.
Red Zebrawood turns well with sharp tools, producing smooth cuts and crisp detail. Its grain is generally straight to interlocked, adding visual interest while remaining manageable on the lathe. When properly dried, it offers good stability and finishes beautifully, with clear finishes enhancing the bold striping and depth of color.
Common uses include turning blanks, bowls, spindles, pens, decorative turnings, and accent pieces.
