Kiln Dried White Wenge
White Wenge (Amphimas pterocarpoides)—also known as Lati—is an African hardwood valued for its light color and bold, linear grain. It is not at all related to Wenge. The wood ranges from pale yellow to light tan.
Lati turns well with sharp tools and controlled cuts. Its grain is generally straight to interlocked with a coarse texture, giving it strong visual character. When properly dried, Lati offers good stability and finishes nicely, especially when the grain is filled and polished to highlight contrast.
Common uses include turning blanks, bowls, spindles, furniture components, accents, and decorative turnings.
Please note: Kiln-dried woods may vary in thickness by up to 1/4", but will usually be only 1/8" undersized due to surfacing.
Kiln-dried to below 10% moisture content.
End grain is sealed in wax to help limit moisture changes.
Protective wax seal guaranteed for 30 days.
Guaranteed defect-free unless otherwise noted in the listing.
All orders fulfilled within two business days.
Shipments fully insured against loss and damage.
