Kiln Dried Curly Hard Maple
Curly Hard Maple is a beautifully figured hardwood valued for its shimmering curl and light, versatile color. The wood ranges from creamy white to light tan, with curly (fiddleback) figure that creates eye-catching movement and depth across the surface.
Curly Hard Maple turns smoothly with sharp tools, offering clean cuts and good control on the lathe. Its fine, even grain sands easily and accepts finishes well, with clear or lightly tinted finishes enhancing the curl. When properly dried, it provides good stability for a wide range of turning projects.
Common uses include turning blanks, bowls, spindles, vessels, pens, and decorative turnings.
