Wood is typically light pink in color, with some tan colored sapwood.
This species is moderately hard. Grain can be straight or wavy.
Cuts well.
Sands to a medium lustre, finishes easily, and is somewhat stable when dried.

These pieces may occasionally contain light mineral stain or trace amounts of black line spalting.
Drying Tips:
This wood has a tendency to deform during drying. Leave roughed out forms slightly thicker to allow for shrinkage.
