This wood is Agentine osage orange, also known as fustic. It is closely related to American osage orange, but is
generally much higher quality with fewer natural defects. Recommended for experienced turners. Wood is typically
bright yellow in color. This species is hard, dense and straight grained. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a
high lustre, finishes easily, and is stable when dried.

These pieces may occasionally contain light mineral stain in sapwood areas.

This wood is very dense and will require slow drying and extended drying times.
