Recommended for experienced turners. Wood is typically light tan in color. This species is hard, dense and straight grained. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a high lustre, finishes easily, and is stable when dried.

Special Note:

May occasionally contain small amounts of reddish-brown heartwood.

Drying Tips:

This wood has a tendency to deform during drying. Leave roughed out forms slightly thicker to allow for shrinkage.
