Suitable for inexperienced turners. Wood is typically a creamy light orange or tan color with occasional black streaks. Black streaks may not be present in all pieces. This species is hard and dense. Grain can be straight or wavy. Clean cuts require sharp tools, but turns very easily despite its density. Sands to a high lustre, finishes easily, and is stable when dried.
