Product Description

African Mahogany (Khaya spp.) is a versatile and attractive choice for woodturners seeking excellent workability and warm, rich color. The wood ranges from light pinkish-brown to deep reddish-brown, often darkening beautifully with age and finish. African Mahogany turns smoothly with both hand tools and carbide tools, producing clean cuts and soft, flowing curves. Its generally straight grain with subtle figure allows for easy shaping and sanding, making it suitable for turners of all skill levels. When properly dried, it offers good stability with minimal movement. These turning blanks are well-suited for a wide range of projects, from functional items to decorative turnings.
