Hard Maple is a strong, durable hardwood valued for its light color, fine grain, and excellent workability. The wood ranges from creamy white to light tan, sometimes with subtle golden tones, giving it a clean, bright appearance. Hard Maple turns cleanly with sharp tools, producing crisp detail and smooth cuts. Its dense, tight grain sands well and accepts finishes evenly, making it suitable for both functional and decorative turning projects. When properly dried, hard maple offers excellent strength and stability. Common uses include turning blanks, bowls, spindles, furniture parts, cutting boards, and utility items.

   Kiln dried to below 10% moisture content
   End grain sealed in wax to maintain moisture content

Review of wood turning blanks

I actually purchased 3 different types of wood blanks. I’ve already turned the hard maple blank and it is beautiful-no splits, flaws or punky wood. I have not turned the ambrosia maple or the walnut yet but am confident. that they will also be excellent also.

Nice wood

The wood products are very nice. I was Not pleased with the delivery. After paying for the wood to be delivered UPS it was sent United States Postal Service instead, which is, I'm sure why the delivery was 3 days later than promised.
