Birdseye maple is dense and durable, machines well, and takes finishes well. However, due to the irregular grain structure caused by the "eyes" (tiny knots), using sharp tools is crucial to prevent tear-out during turning.

Special Note:

All blanks contain medium to high birdseye figure in at least 75% of each piece. May contain some brown streaks from heartwood.

   Kiln dried to below 10% moisture content
