Freshly cut, the wood displays bright yellow to vivid orange tones that gradually deepen to a rich amber or brownish orange as it ages and is exposed to light. With a fine, tight grain and high density, Argentine Osage Orange turns cleanly with sharp tools and holds crisp detail, making it ideal for precision turning work. Its natural toughness and wear resistance make it well suited for functional projects such as tool handles, spindles, and specialty turnings. When properly dried, it offers good stability and finishes to a smooth, polished surface.
