Ambrosia Maple is a visually striking hardwood distinguished by the dramatic streaks and patterns created by ambrosia beetle activity. The base wood ranges from creamy white to light tan, contrasted by blue-gray, black, and brown markings that make every piece unique. Despite its bold appearance, Ambrosia Maple retains the strength and fine grain typical of maple. It machines and turns smoothly with sharp tools, holds detail well, and accepts finishes beautifully. Clear finishes especially enhance the natural contrast and character of the wood. Widely used for turning blanks, furniture accents, slabs, and decorative projects, Ambrosia Maple is prized for its combination of workability and one-of-a-kind appearance.

All blanks are hand selected and contain medium to high amounts of ambrosia streaks. Lightly figured Ambrosia is sold as select maple.
