Product Description
Recommended for experienced turners. Most of these are cut from the crotch section of the tree and have crazy grain. Wood is typically dark brown in color with some tan colored sapwood. This species is hardand dense. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a high lustre, may require some care in finishing,and is stable when dried.Special Note:
These pieces contain medium to heavy figure through at least 75% of the blank.Kiln dried to below 10% moisture content
End grain sealed in wax to maintain moisture content

I was turning a waxed 3x3x12 piece of blood wood from a big name wood store and after getting it almost spherical for the vise handles, I got to the dried out and cracked center.
