Figured Sapele (Entandrophragma cylindricum) is a premium African hardwood prized for its rich color and dramatic natural figure. The wood ranges from golden brown to deep reddish-brown, displaying figure that adds depth and visual movement.
Figured Sapele turns smoothly with sharp tools, producing clean cuts and crisp detail. Its fine to medium texture and interlocked grain sand well and finish beautifully, developing a warm, lustrous sheen. When properly dried, sapele offers good stability and durability, making it suitable for both functional and showcase turning projects.
