Canarywood Can Carry a Whole Sunset of Colors

Despite its yellow-sounding name, Canarywood heartwood can range from pale yellow-orange to reddish brown, often with darker contrasting streaks. Different colors may occur together within one blank.

Surprising takeaway: A plain-looking yellow exterior can reveal orange, red or dark brown bands as the blank is rounded. A clear finish usually showcases this natural palette better than a heavy stain.
