Granadillo Can Become a Musical Note Granadillo is valued for musical instruments, including marimbas and guitars. For a marimba, individual wooden bars are carefully shaped and tuned so that each one vibrates at a specific musical pitch when struck. Surprising takeaway: A piece of Granadillo can become either a decorative turning or part of a tuned percussion instrument—the wood itself serves as the vibrating sound source.
