Product Description

African Blackwood (Dalbergia melanoxylon) is one of the densest and most sought-after hardwoods in the world. Renowned for its deep purplish-black to jet-black coloration with subtle brown streaking, this premium exotic wood offers exceptional beauty, durability, and performance. Exceptionally hard and heavy, African Blackwood machines and turns cleanly with sharp tools, producing crisp details and a naturally smooth surface. Its fine, closed grain and natural oils allow it to polish to a glass-like finish with minimal effort. Once dry, it is extremely stable, resisting movement and checking better than most hardwoods.
