Also known as Bolivian rosewood or Pau Ferro. Not a true rosewood, but very closely related and nearly identical in
every way. Recommended for experienced turners. Wood contains a variety of colors: oranges, browns, reddish-browns,
and black with occasional tones of purple. This species is dense, straight grained, and turns extremely well. A
pleasure to work with. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a very high lusture, finishes easily, and is stable
when dried.
Kiln dried to below 10% moisture content
End grain sealed in wax to maintain moisture content
Protective wax seal guaranteed for 30 days Guaranteed defect-free (Full quality standards listed below) All orders fulfilled within 2 business days Shipments fully insured against loss and damage
Morado is my favorite wood to turn. It is super easy with my carbide tools, and sands/polishes very nicely. While I am extremely allergic to the dust, I will have to order more from Got Wood? LLC simply because the pieces they sell are that beautiful. Thank you very much!!!
