Also known as Bolivian rosewood or Pau Ferro. Not a true rosewood, but very closely related and nearly identical in
every way. Recommended for experienced turners. Wood contains a variety of colors: oranges, browns, reddish-browns,
and black with occasional tones of purple. This species is dense, straight grained, and turns extremely well. A
pleasure to work with. Cutting requires sharp tools. Sands to a very high lusture, finishes easily, and is stable
when dried.
Kiln dried to below 10% moisture content

The quality of the blank was excellent. Finishes to superior product. The Morado is a great choice for bowl turning.

Happy Wood
Like doing business with you folks. Would prefer select maple not having ambrosia streaks, the Morado is great as it cuts and finishes beautifully. You need to keep this wood in stock
